An increasingly useful, and sometimes required, aspect of running a social enterprise is being able to show the impact of your work. This involves gathering data and information, making sense of it, and then sharing what you’ve learnt with your stakeholders. Communicating data visually and using strong infographics can really help you get your message across.

Our next free masterclass for anyone registered on the Social Enterprise Exchange programme will introduce you to the basic principles that underpin successful data visualisation and infographic design for impact reporting. The event will be held on the morning of Tuesday 28th February at The Circle in Sheffield City Centre and will be led by experienced infographic designer and trainer, Lulu Pinney.

This interactive session will start by helping you explore the value of working with data and information in your enterprise. We’ll then go through the processes involved in creating simple infographics, using a pen and paper initially to sketch up ideas, before looking at some of the readily available digital tools you can use to bring your designs to life. The session will begin with breakfast and an opportunity to network with other social enterprises. There’ll be additional chances to network and to discuss your learning with others throughout the morning.

You may find it useful to look out for and bring one or two examples of a data visualisation or infographic that you have come across, or aspire to produce. You may also wish to bring a laptop if you have one – although this is not essential.

To access this valuable free CPD you must be registered with the Social Enterprise Exchange programme and your business must be based in the Sheffield City Region area. If you have questions about the event or registration please email pete@ssen.org.uk or call 07548 831962.

We have limited spaces for this event. Book early to avoid disappointment! We ask that you please register at least 24 hours prior to the event. Although the event is free, if you find that you are no longer able to make your place, please do try to give us 24 hours notice so that we can give relevant numbers to the venue.
