Our Lunch With… events offer a great way to help you learn from others in and out of the social enterprise sector.
We believe that being inspired by others is one of the best ways to stay passionate and motivated to continue doing what is important to you…And who doesn’t need a bit of motivation!
At this lunchtime session we’ll be joined by the award-winning international speaker and resilience specialist, Roger Cheetham. Following a dramatic, life-changing experience in 2013 which left him with lifelong disabilities, Roger took the heroic and selfless decision to turn his negative experience into a positive one.
Roger is co-founder of Survive, Strive, Thrive Ltd, a social enterprise that works predominantly with young people aged 11-25 to help them become more resilient, to improve their self-confidence and to raise their aspirations. Their work ranges from talks in schools and colleges on crime prevention, to working with youngsters who have been estranged from their families.
By sharing his story through his work, Roger is able to make his experience and learnings relevant to so many young people as they struggle with everyday situations or face up to adversities such as mental health problems, surviving a violent crime, or dealing with the effects of long-term illness or disease.
Don’t forget to bring your lunch with you into this online space along with any questions you might have when you join us to hear Roger’s inspiring story.
Delivered by Sheffield Social Enterprise Network, in partnership with Social Enterprise Exchange.
