Need a bit of lunchtime motivation? Our Lunch With… events offer a great way to help you learn from others in and out of the social enterprise sector.
Come and hear from Megan Ohri, Partnership Manager at SOAR, and her experience of managing a successful and established charity and trading arm, whilst enjoying some tasty Caribbean food.
Megan has 20 years experience of working within the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, spanning a wide cross-section of organisations including youth groups, volunteer agencies, mental health organisations and community anchors in both Manchester and Sheffield.
A common thread throughout her career has been enabling organisations and their people to develop, grow and reach their full capacity and potential. She has a keen interest in balancing trading with more traditional voluntary sector funding, and is committed to creating opportunities for the sector to become less dependent on local authorities.
After hearing from Megan and engaging in some discussion, there’ll be the opportunity for those that wish to view the award-winning facilities at SOAR Works and to meet some of the inspiring organisations and enterprises that are based there.
SOAR Works is easily accessible by car from Sheffield or from Junction 35 of the M1 and there is plenty of free parking in the area. There are also regular buses from Sheffield City Centre.
Delivered by Sheffield Social Enterprise Network, in partnership with Social Enterprise Exchange.
