We believe that being inspired by others is one of the best ways to stay passionate and motivated to continue doing what is important to you…And who doesn’t need a bit of motivation!

At this lunchtime session we’ll be joined by Claire Rimmer, Head of Operations at Sheffield-based creative arts organisation, CADS. The event will be held at their Arley Street studios, the new home to Theatre Deli.

CADS opened their first studio space in a former cutlery factory more than 10 years ago, providing studio space to a community of artists from a variety of backgrounds. Today they provide a large number of creative spaces across six ex-industrial, retail and office spaces around Sheffield. As well as their Arley Street premises, their projects include Abbeydale Picture House, Eagle Works in Attercliffe and Exchange Street in Castlegate.

Claire has worked in the creative sector for many years, never far away from CADS or its partners’ activities. She is passionate about the benefits of grassroots creative and community spaces in Sheffield and the potential transformation of empty buildings; enabling studios and spaces to become available to people where the value of space is more than just a place to work.

In addition to working at CADS, Claire is a dance teacher and also volunteers as Co-chair for South Yorkshire Multiple Births Association. She still has some time left for running after seven year old twins and studying for her masters degree!

Whilst you’re hearing from Claire you’ll get the chance to try some vegan and vegetarian savoury bites and sweet treats from Baked and Caked. And there’ll be plenty of time for engaging in discussion and for networking with others working in and with social enterprises in the area.

We have limited spaces for this event. Book early to avoid disappointment! We ask that you please register at least 72 hours prior to the event. Although the event is free, if you find that you are no longer able to make your place, please do try to give us 72 hours notice so that we can give relevant numbers to the catering team.
