Monday, 19th March 2018, 11.30am-1.30pm at Kiveton Park & Wales Community Trust at The Old Colliery Offices
LunchPlus is profiling the work of a number of social enterprises and community organisations based across the Sheffield City Region who are working to create employment opportunities within their communities and limit and challenge the impact of loneliness and isolation through engendering a sense of community. Bringing together people for improved community, wellbeing and health.
The second of this series of LunchPlus profiles Kiveton Park and Wales Community Development Trust, a long established social business and development trust, working out of the Rotherham area, supporting local people to overcome barriers to education, employment and welfare.
The Trust was formed in 1997 following the closure of the colliery in this former mining community.
The mission of the Trust is to provide the means by which the communities in Wales Parish can play an active part in the regeneration of their neighbourhoods so as to improve facilities, increase opportunities and enhance the quality of life of all residents.
LunchPlus is a business networking event designed with a focus on social enterprise. Our aim is to provide a broad, diverse and inclusive platform profiling key networks, sectors, innovation, new business opportunities, expertise, case studies, helpful business and financial services and products designed to support emerging and existing social enterprises across the Sheffield City Region. The format for Lunch Plus is a 20 min presentation and a chaired Q+A session followed by a light lunch networking opportunity. Time 11.30-13.30.
